# XP, can't choose WPA2

I’m fixing up an old laptop, and I’m trying to setup the wifi to work with a router that uses WPA2. I can’t seem to configure xp to use anything but WEP. It has SP3, and as I searched, it’s supposed to support WPA, and basically all other security measures.

Plus when connecting to the router, the password thing pops up, and I enter the password, but it doesn’t work, and says that it has to be a 40 or somewhat character code or something.

Does anyone have any clue of what might be the culprit? I installed all the necessary updates, but still no use.
