# XP update craps on my codecs

So I installed the XP updates that came out for me on Aug 14,2007 (aka today). Noticed that all my video playing options for any web content is dead. I get some sound but all image and video is gone… which is weird because it is for all types of players… winamp, windows media player, quicktime etc.

any advice? i already tried to reinstall with the XP codec pack and no luck.
