# Yahoo Maps custom markers

Hey,

I’m working on a project with Flash and Yahoo maps. Can anyone give me a heads-up on creating custom .SWF markers that will work with the Yahoo API?

Specific question being how do I send information to the marker swf… dynamic data like address, business name, etc. and also run actionscript code from buttons inside the SWF… for example, if you click on a marker you’ll get a custom marker that contains the name, business number, and when you click on a “More info” button, you might see a flv movie or a slideshow in a player area on the main movie… Can I just call actions at the \_root level?

I know how to load and parse data… the difficulty is in sending specific data to a marker swf and calling actions on the main movie timeline.
