Hi,
This is a very open question. Basically over the many years I’ve been using and learning HTML, CSS and Javascript, I have never come across a relatively simple way of creating a horizontal or vertical drop down menu that genuinely works in most browsers.
I think you know what I mean by a drop down menu… but on a basic level, like the navigation the Microsoft website has… how when you mouse over a link, and a menu drops down across the content below, with other links.
There are many, many of this type of menu across the net, and I’m sure hundreds of ways of coding them… but I have never found a straight forward tutorial for making one that works in all the popular browsers and browser versions.I’d need one that works in IE versions back to v6 at least.
Has anyone used one for their website or a website in the past that has been fairly simple, and works well? As far as customisation goes, I’d like to be able to do whatever I want with it as far as font colour, background colour, background images, borders, font weights, etc goes.
If anyone has any suggestions, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
