A question about preloader

I’m a very beginner in ActionScript. I’ve made a preloader for my first page, the problem is that the movie already begins while the preloader still shows up the loading progress, and then disapears in maybe 1 seconds (feels longer though). I used the same Actionscript codes inside my website in two other different places, works good. Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks!

and another question - there is this weird light box shows up when you move you mouse on the Flash movie area. it says “click to activate and use this control.” (I’ve noticed that there are flash banners on the www.kirupa.com website do the same thing) Is there any way to get ride of this? Thanks!
