I get a white flicker - quick, but still noticeable when my flash is played in IE. Went to Macromedia forums and they said it was unfixable. Any ideas or different workarounds you guys got? The animation is not especially large, so it could’nt be a size or loading problem - yet…
The flicker is only at the beginning and it’s only like 1 frame’s worth. I’m pasting the link to it that’s in development; hopefully you will see what I mean. If you miss it the first time, refresh the page then you’ll see it for a split second… http://development.global1click.com/DD/default.html
I definitely don’t get a white flicker, I have refreshed multiple times.
The only place I get the white flicker at is on both sides of the flash movie where the browser is loading the background image to the table cell (or page or however you set up that curtain background image)
Well, that is strange. The background curtain image is larger somewhat, so I guess I’ll squeeze that down some and maybe that will help that part. I’m wondering now if the quickie flicker I see is cuz of a Mac thing, maybe? I’m on a G4 running OSX if that helps…
Flash has been known to do some weird things on Mac systems, so it could be that. We may just have to wait and see what other people have to say when they come around.
Ok. The project is going to proceed, anyway. I still have waaay more work to do on it. I was just pissed that I was getting that flicker so early on in the process…OI!
This is a shot in the dark, but you can try updating your flash player. I know there’s a new flash 7 beta player out and maybe it will solve that flicker problem.
