Actionscript to fetch information and work accordingly

Okay, I have 2 MCs in root [SIZE=“1”](stopped and not playing, are used as image slideshows)[/SIZE]

Now i want a button in root, to seek what frame # MC2 is, then take MC1 to the same frame #… Will anyone come up with a simple actionscript?
