I have been working on a game, so far it’s some 1,000 lines of code, and I just upgraded to actionscript 2, to try to enhance performance (game running at 20fps when I want it to be at least 50 on my computer)
It use to run at 9fps when I used Flash MX 2004 I think it was, and it went up to 20fps or so on the new Flash 8… I am also using a better render (medium instead of low)… which is making me very happy.
The main question is, How come I havn’t gotten any syntax errors from upgrading my code? Also, why has the fps not increased any…
Does the code not really ‘need’ to be formated the way AS2 says it needs to be??? But if it were, it would run faster??
