Add class to mx folder!

I have written a class. I want to add it to the mx folder so that I can access it whenever from any app I write and if I mod the class all apps that i use will get those updates on compile. However, I can not seem to do this, perhaps I am just not understanding what is involved but perhaps someone can help me.
