you could try <?php ?> rather than asp style tags 
Bombing - ASP style tags are <% %> hehe <?= ?> are short tags, they basically mean echo this variable. I also tried <?PHP ?>, it didnāt work though. I guess itās back to the drawing board on my new footerā¦ Iāve thought of a few work arounds to thisā¦ but nothing that would really work hehe.
