Adobe CS4 on Labs
I actually kind of like the new direction they’re taking, trying to push everything out and make it dull and uninteresting so that what you are working on really stands out.
So you’d do it with the ugliest woman on earth just so you stand out? Just saying dude.

^ De gustibus non disputandum est. (I think that’s how it’s spelled.)

^ if i had room that would go in my footer!

Thanx,

So apparently the DW CS4 messed up a few things on my Vista SP1 machine: I lost the “new text document” option under “New >” when you rightclick in a folder, and .txt files now no longer open in Notepad, but instead they open in Visual Studio. Awesome.

*Fixed it by copying over the .txt registry entries from a vanilla Vista installation.

I’ll wait for the alpha (or the “CS5 Templarian version”)… xD

Live View for DW CS4 is lovely so far. I have had no crashes with the localhost on my pc. And Live Code! This thing prints out exactly what you’ll see in a View Source call for the current page you are looking at. Holy Crap! I see good potential with this release! Yes. Still, no sign of a crash yet. Still toying away at this.

Live Code is inaccurate because it adds <html><body> tags even if the code does not do it.

^Bear, for a web page to view it requires defaults in the source for it to work thus those have to be added.

Also firebug does the same thing for source.

A good point. I knew that, but I was giving props to Adobe for not making me switch on a single screen setup inorder to abuse such a cool feature. Live View cuts out the middle man and allows you to use a single application instead of the Firebug/Firefox method. As a matter of fact, the Live View renders the page as if it were on the server in any browser instead of restricting the user to Firefox.

Can anyone actually confirm the “CS4” tag on any of these products?

I was talking to one of the adobe people online and they described that there are things in the design that are really not needed, but that a lot of it was already set in stone as they are spending most of their time now on fixing the major bugs in the new features. So yea… heres me hoping for a patch or one of the developers adding it in.

Well, it says CS4 on the install screens, so I think that’s confirmed.

… I just opened a include heavy file and it throws the file references at the top. I’m in love so far. Or is this lust unending.

…Sorry, Tyra Banks. CS4 has wiped my Fresh Prince of Bel Air fantasies of you off of my RAM memory.

LOL Still can’t render .include files.

Cool, I hadn’t tried any of them and thought we might be in for a RIA suite this time round.
