Adobe Flash CS4... half done

Hello everyone,

I have been a flash developer for a couple years now, and I’ve had my problems with Flash MX/CS3 in the past. But I have NEVER spent $700 on software that was half done.

There’s no doubt in my mind that Adobe rushed Flash CS4 to go along with the other CS4 products. They did not do proper testing and there are a lot of classic features, which have worked since the first version of flash, but are not working now. Explain that? So Adobe took some steps adding features to CS4, but they didn’t test the classic features.

For example, I have been working on a huge project, which if I had have started in CS3, would have been done by now. But because of all the problems I’m having with CS4, crashing, bugs, font causing issues, etc, It’s taking me a lot longer. Not only did I dish out $700 for the product, but it’s COSTING me additional money because of the problems.

In my opinion this in unacceptable for any company. Not just in terms of computer software. When you release a product, it had better work, otherwise, there should be refunds offered, or HUGE steps to fix the problems. I have been waiting for almost a month for a patch, release, or fix that will solve all of the problems with features such as; frame labels, corrupted fonts, huge project compile problems, random crashes, etc. But there hasn’t been one.

I don’t understand how Adobe is allowed to legally rob people of their monies by releasing this inferior peice of garbage. The 3D is a nice idea, but works poorly, and frankly doesn’t really do anything flash couldn’t already do with some tweaking. I am very disappointed with this poor release and swear to never buy another adobe product again. As soon as other companies start taking some business away with flash knock offs, I’m out of this flash wagon.
