Agressive and Possessive Media Player

I was listening to a bit of A Perfect Circle earlier with Windows Media Player 10 and found that it was using 86% of my 64bit 3200+ Processor and 120MB of my 1.5GB of RAM… is this normal?
How can I fix this problem?
