Hey all,
I have a question on a somewhat sensitive matter so thought i’d ask here instead of the general forum population.
We have a friend who has a teenage son. Our friend is worried that the kid is getting pretty deep into drug activity but their relationship is a bit touchy (teenage boys and their dads - you understand) so he can’t ask him directly because the kid would never own up to it. The kid spends a lot of time on aim. So the dad asked me it was possible to figure out a way to somewhat monitor those online conversations to see if the kid is going off the deep end or not.
I of course have issues with this. I believe in the kid’s privacy but as a kind-of mom myself (my guy has two boys) I can totally sympathize with the dad and want to help him out. He’s really worried about his kid. He’s a young dad too, so he’s not going to go bonkers over typical teenage stuff that he himself was doing not too long ago. He’s really just looking out for the hardcore stuff.
What do you think? And is it possible to record an aim conversation without having access to the kid’s account?
thanks all :hr:
