AIR Project Questions

Good evening (US East coast evening, actually) everyone,

I have a large project on my plate and would like to discuss my ideas as to how to make it work:

Imagine 6 computers taking textual information, one picture, and one short video from each user who registers. All of these computers have the ability to be networked together via wireless connection.

My main concern right now is storing the information, picture, and video. My first inclination would be to have one computer designated as the “host” (probably not using the term right) computer. All of the Adobe AIR apps on the computers will do the following with what they receive:
a) upload the information into computer 6’s SQLite database
b) upload the picture into a directory on computer 6’s hard drive
c) upload the video into a directory on computer 6’s hard drive.

All the information and media needs to be provided to the client at the end of the event, so it would certainly be helpful to have it all in one place as opposed to going around with a flash drive.

Notes:

  • The computers will have enough storage space to handle the media.
  • The videos should be no longer than about 20 seconds.

Thanks! [and sorry about the long post]
