I am looking for someone interested in collaborating on an animated music video. The musical style of the song is a fusion of 60’s rock and roll with a new popular dance music from the Dominican Republic called Bachata.
Bachata which was origionally the music of the poor country folk of the Dominican Republic, is quickly gaining international popularity that rivals Salsa and Merengue.
The song that the video will acompany is a Spanish version of the 60’s hit “Hang on Sloopy” put to a bachata rhythm and sung with spanish lyrics. This song has been promoted in the Dominican Republic on radiostations and has drawn a lot of attention from both adults and children. For some reason, kids really like this song. This is where the idea of creating an animated music video came from. I want to appeal to a child audience by having cartoon character musicians and dancers accompanying the main singer/guitarist in the video.
There is no major record label contract involved and so the budget for this project would be limited. Time is a factor, as the song is popular now, we would want to release the video ASAP.
