Sorry if this is already up but I searched for it and didnt find anything.
I need to create a mask using dynamic text. I found all sorts of good tips on how to mask the text itself but not how to mask something else with the text.
Here’s the jist of what im trying to do. I have movie clip that loads a graphic. I want text to scroll across the graphic, masking it (so you get the image inside the text effect), and then display the whole image using an expanding box mask. I got everything working no problem - except I want the text to change everytime the clip itterates. So I made it a dynamic textbox inside a mc (and I also tried a graphic - no dice), but when it’s dynmic it won’t display the text mask at all.
I haven’t added in my AS to change the text yet, if that has anything to do with it but I dont think it does if the text is already set at the beginning of the movie - it stays that way, i think.
