But for more futuristic type of stuff, you should look at āChronicles of Riddick - Escape from Butcher Bayā if you have an Xbox, amazing, amazing game. Awesome graphics, great story and just plain fun to play.
Red Faction 2 = Mediocre
Riddick = Good sneaker/shooter, but a little buggyā¦
Medal of Honor = Get Call of Duty
Halo = Awesome on Xbox, Average on PC (sorry you crazy K-team guys)
MY reccomended list:
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
Far Cry
Hitman series
Theif: DS
Tron 2.0 (Itās awesome for anyone who played it)
GTA:VC
Deus Ex 1
Thanks for all the recommendations. I have Deus EX, but I havenāt played that yet either. I think that came free with my sound card. Iāll give the demo of Call of Duty a shot later
But SplinterCell isnāt a single player FPS. Itās a third person stealth action game. Sure if you go online with SCPT, you can choose to be a spy or a mercenary, which are 1st personā¦
As goes for GTA, not a FPS
Now I donāt know what kind of games you like kirupa, but I would reccomend Counter-Strike for xbox or PC. For PC, I just got Condition Zero, itās a great single player game, with loads of fun. Also, canāt forget about going online.
Hitman ROCKS. It requires a TON of patience though. Iāve beat all of them on Silent Assassin. Iām a pretty hardcore gamer too (pretty much everything that comes out).
I still havenāt played Deus Ex even though the CD is just within reach, but I may later though. Iāll add that to my to-do list.
I just ordered Halo and UT2004 for the PC on amazon.com I was really really really tempted to by Far Cry instead of UT2004. UT2k4 seemed like one of those games that provides good graphics and classic, mindless fragging fun!
halo
half life
cod
c&c renegade if your a big c&c fan
all medal of honor games
counter strike
rainbow 6
Deus Ex
unreal tournament
americas army (I dont play because fear of army brainwashing)
run like hell (ps2)
thats all i could think of
Red Faction 2 was bland. It exploited itās gimmick one too many times, and had no redeeming value.
The Hitman series was enjoyable, as each one got better. Still not perfect, but fun none the less. Thief 3 was a fun game. Pretty graphics too.
Medal of Honor and Call of Duty were both fun games to play. But if you want fantasy/future, feel free to skip them.
Skip Halo. Halo was good for the X-Box because it was the best FPS shooter ever released for a console. But for the PC, it was mediocre. Anyone who plays PC FPS knows that the stuff everyone was so excited for in Halo had already been in plenty of FPS before. As well as every other game did not have such crappy coding. The PC port was terrible. In all honesty, skip it.
The Marine mission in Alien Versus Predator 2 was excellent! Scary, and gives quite the rush. Honestly one of my most enjoyable single player experiences.
Delta Force: Blackhawk Down was fun, and requires patience and skill to play it well.
