Ok fellow Kirupans, something I found out recently. Open up Flash if you want to try this. This is probably not new for some but I’m just curious.

What:

  1. Make a static text box with the font of verdana.
  2. View the Movie. Blurry and nasty right?
  3. Now, go back to the static texts’ property panel and select use device font…
  4. View the movie, it’s mad crispy!!

Questions:

  1. What does the property use device font do?
  2. Since the text is verdana and mostly all of the computers now have that as a default text will that affect anything?

  • That’s like another way of crispy text! Does this mean that I can mask this text even though it’s crispy? (notice that it’s not possible to mask dynamic text)
