War and Canada, are not to be discussed in this thread.
I am making this thread to get away from all the War threads, and the quickly rising Canada threads. I am not saying that these things should not be discussed, I just think we need a good thread to talk about other stuff and to get away from it all.
Here are some good things to maybe talk about:
-books
-movies
-poetry
-art
-[edit by lostinbeta]option of speech inacceptable[/edit]
-beginnings in flash, as, photoshop, etc.
-anything not involving the word eh? or Iraq

it was about piracy, basically. And kirupa has a strong stance on that…
I’ll try that site… although I’m really looking for something minimalistic (I dont like the minimalistic stuff that deviant art has).
My problem with deviant art is that my taste is different from what most people post there… I look through the favorites, and I barely like any of them.
I have unique tastes in EVERYTHING - music, art, books, etc. And it bugs me… cause I can’t always find something I like.
Oh, maybe you guys know this… you know the abstract wallpapers they have in deviant art? are there any tutorials on how to do something like that? I’ve been looking for photoshop tutorials, but all I’ve found is stuff on making buttons and stuff… I want to learn how to make cool wallpapers.
Wastedyouth.com used to have the best tutorials on that kind of stuff… but now they have been updating the site for like 6 months so that stuff seems to be gone

what are you lookin to make, like tentacles, or cool shiny stuff or what?
let me see if I can find it… I made the background for my website by tracing a really cool 3d image… I’ll bring up some of the stuff that I’d like to do…
forget the little stuff, like text, boxes, etc… I just want to learn how to do the cool 3d stuff. and DEPTH… I wish I knew how to do that too… (mathematically I know… but cant do things mathematically in photoshop)
You dont need to tell me exactly HOW to do it… If you could point me to some good tutorials on how to do this kind of stuff, it’d be cool…

Yup yup, I learned a lot from that place… as for those deviations you sent me, I only opened the first one… cuz they take forever to open, but I’m sure you do that with some nice gradients and layer effects… dunno for sure tho… maybe I should do a tutorial on something like that for when i get my site up.
