Redesigns always feel like a “new coat of paint” task until you realize half the job is inventorying what people actually use (and why) so you don’t delete the one weird workflow keeping them alive. every time we’ve “cleaned up” UI at my indie gig, the real win was shipping it behind a toggle for a bit so we could catch the “wait where’d my thing go” stuff before it turned into a week of angry bug reports.
