I’ve spent a good 3 hours on this and I’m not getting anywhere fast!
The form is a very simple one field wonder - for email data capture.
I’ve got it working in so far as the email can be entered, on clicking my subscribe button it delivers the entered text to my email etc and displays my success message - all well and good, however…
on first navigating to this form the field displays:
_level0.instance6.instance73.form.email
why oh why?! How do I make it disappear? It’s not a good look that the user has to delete obscure code from the field in order to enter their email address!
The form is based on http://www.kirupa.com/developer/actionscript/flash_php_email.htm
but is just single field called ‘email’ is that helps and var is set to email etc etc
anything anyone can do would be so much appreciated! am tearing my hair out!
