greetings to all,
so now i spent a lot of time on this side and looked at many .flas and swf that were posted in the forums. i must admit ,im really new to actionscript and stuff and thats why i need to learn it from the beginning. I think its the best way cause im downloading flas and have problems to follow them and to understand the whole code, you know i think its the beginners pit , when you see nice sites and animation and want to see how they were made and then get stuck with the long AS Code or when you get behind a special code and then cant reproduce it from the ground up in order to make it usefull for your own project. Ithink this can be really frustrating for a AS beginner like me
ive got basic knowledge about flash mx /2004 like animation and tween and the whole tools but codewise im stuck in go to, tell target and on mouse event land:ponder: :diss: i have to say that i left flash in version mx and flash 5 ,at the point when the introduced the new actionscript ,i was starting to be familar with that old AS code (tell target stuff) for small animations back then but stopped doing flash ;(
my question is : what would be a good starting point from there , are there any good books that can help me out and build up on my knowledge, or to get me into AS Land ( like writting and uderstanding code i.e. AS 2.0) ( i am want to produce solid,clean flash websides and therefore would like to know and to learn the AS skillz needed for this work)
i would really apreciate any help on this topic, thx a lot for spending time reading my post
