I have a website using AS 2.0. At this point I have a small issue and need the communities help. Here is a little info on what is going on, and of course the files will be attached.
When we startup the main page it loads a banner on top and on the bottom without an issue, we load 4 buttons, which comes out perfect. When we hit the fotos button it clears the entire stage by using a fun little bounce effect to remove the top border, bottom border, and buttons, effectively giving us a nice clean stage to add this nice photo album i built. When you choose the album it brings us 25 smaller pictures in which you can click to make larger or scroll through them easily. We also setup a little cool tire icon at the bottom of the page to return us back to the start of the page.
HERE IS THE ISSUE: When we click the tire to return to the beginning, it for some reason leaves the entire photo section up and doesn’t clear it. When you test it under the .fla file using <ctrl-enter> it works perfectly, but when you test it using the exported .swf file it keeps the photo section stuck when we return.
So my question is: Is there a way we can setup on the return tire icon a on release clear stage then return to the beginning so whenever it is clicked it will always make sure it clears the stage?
I will include the files:
- Index.fla which is the main file to work with the page.
- Index.swf the exported main file.
- The entire photo section which includes:
a. photo.fla which is the main file to work with the photo section.
b. photo.swf which is the exported working file, which is called from the index.swf.
c. the other smaller frame##.swf which are the individual pics to the photo album.
d. bg.swf which is the blank place holders for the pics.
Since the files are just a little larger then what i can add here on this site i will host them from a file host. I will include everything in one single zip, which you can open up and place all the files in one single directory together. The zip is only about 1.8mb large so easy download.
I know this seems kinda hard to work with, but i have been searching all day and banging my head against a wall to try and find an answer to my issue.
Also one last thing, if you decide to look into this, I am having one other slight issue, which has me boggled. The main page is called index.swf, which calls the file: photo.swf which is the photo album. When it does this, the actions and animation from the photo.swf does NOT work within index.swf. But, if you load the photo.swf separately and click a picture it zooms in, and then you can hit the next, or back or index to return to the large 25 picture index with all the animation.
Here is the second issue: I do not know what I have done wrong with my coding in calling the photo.swf file from the index.swf that it will not allow the animation to be used when using the animation. So if anyone could look into my mistake there that would be great. I am including all the files necessary to check it out and see the actual code.
