(AS2 & AS3) Where do i put the PRELOADER?

i made my own portfolio using flash. i use [COLOR=Blue]loadMovie[/COLOR] & [COLOR=Blue]unloadMovie.[/COLOR]

i read how to make the [COLOR=Blue]preloader[/COLOR] in kirupa

i’ve done the preloader and it works, but the question is, [COLOR=Blue]where do i put the preloader and the actionscript?[/COLOR] is it in the button in the main file that will load a movieclip? or in the movieclip that would be loaded into the main file? because the example use just an external images.

mm, i made all the portfolio with AS2, yet i use AS3 for the preloader. would it be a problem?
