Hi Everyone, quick background before I ask my question. I know a little AS2/AS3 basics and I’m familiar with Flash so I’m not a beginner but I feel like I am since I learned on my own so I know I’m missing things here and there.
I’m making a site for myself, I used this approach; every page is an external movie clip and I load them over each other in different levels. So, when you click on a menu button it replaces a movie clip on certain levels to load a page. I have 2 menus, one vertical menu that has 7 buttons and the other horizontal menu that has 5 buttons.
My Question is what strategy or approach should I use to fade out a movie clip at level 0 or level 1 using actionscript? For instance if Level 0 has a photo or content and someone clicks button 2, I load that 2.swf movie clip in level 0 but it just roughly swaps it and no smooth transition happens I’m trying to make it more seamless and look nicer. Any suggestions or techniques I could utilize?
