Hi folks, I have an interview for a job next week and I have been tipped off that it’s going to be to create a roulette game. I can probably figure out how to randomly spin the wheel, but I don’t know where to begin in terms of making a semi-realistic ball motion.
I figure I can get it to do 3 or 4 reverse laps of the wheel, but when it drops it’s going to need to bounce about a bit before settling on a number. I guess I could do a couple of static ball bouncing animations, pick one at random then run that after its been spinning a while, but I think it would be much better to make it a dynamic, physics based animation (and I’m not great at timeline animations!).
Any thoughts? Is there a physics library that could help me? How would you approach this?
Thanks!
