I feel crazy for the amount of time I’ve spent on this. I’ve read almost every tutorial imaginable (including Kenny Bellew’s and [URL=“http://www.actionscript.org/resources/articles/119/1/Dynamic-Sound-Fade/Page1.html”]Muhammad Yahya’s) and I still can’t seem to figure this out. Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.
I’m working from a purchased template (using CS4, but template was in ActionScript 2). Have learned a lot by tinkering, but still a total n00b. Any help would be met with a hearty handshake, a warm hug and possibly my first-born child.
I have a background music loop and am having trouble having it fade out for a certain frame, where I’ve got an XML-powered version of Slideshow Pro showing some photos and videos. The main issue (as I’m sure you can imagine) is the inevitable audio overlap from the videos interfering with the background music. I’ve tried a number of different methods and approaches to make this work (from trying a mute button for just the music to placing the onEnterFrame instructions from Kenny’s tutorial). I haven’t had much luck with anything. Ideally, I’d love to be able to fade out the music for just that frame and then fade it up once the user navigates to a different frame. Suggestions for adding a fade in/out function to the mute button at the bottom would be really helpful as well.
I’m sure it’s something silly that I’m too ignorant to understand, so any help would be so greatly appreciated. Here’s a link to my .fla file:

Thank you so very much!
