Audio MP3 bitrate / kilobyte conversion

So, just to confirm something I was discussing with someone today:

If you have an MP3 file, its bitrate is 192 kbit/s, and you’re streaming it from your server - the bandwidth used should look something like this:

**192 **kbit/s. **60 **seconds in a minute, so 11520 kbit/minute. Since one byte = 8 bits, it should work out so that you’re using (11520 / 8) 1440 kilobytes per minute - correct?

Just confirming. Thanks!
