Australians - info on Uni needed

I had James Preston and Tony Daniel. ground floor of G block i think it was. I bleieve thats underneath the webdesign rooms? not too sure.

yeah in the IT section right, dont know the teachers though, i was across the road for graphic design course years ago. anyway back to the topic

All UNI’s I have been to are a pain in the arse to find your way around at first…
Most were built before the 60’s and bits have just been added on here and there kinda a mess.

My g/f also did some classes on the side at the Adelaide School of art… Just doing nudy picks and stuff

As with any coarse there are people who are no good… I have seen people doing programming who are computer phobic, the type that think a virus on a floppy might jump to your computer like a real virus.

With design it can be just as bad, some people have no idea… One client my g/f had at tafe was a church… It was a logo and stuff for their gardens… So what does one guy hand in… A black gothic poster with skulls and crosses and blood…
That to advertise a church garden… lmao

my sister will be in either of those this year. she is amazing.

Thats the thing with going to Uni or Tafe or A school of graphic arts. You really have to think about it and if you plan to actually do a Graphic design course at Uni, you probably do more theory than practical. Tafe on the other hand, like people have here, hands-on work and I think thats a much better approach, being able to do a balance of theory and practical. Im not sure myself where Im going atm, I would like to do web/graphic design but Im not sure doing it at Uni let alone I might not even make it to Uni of Sydney which is my choice. Sadly, if I dont make it to Uni of Sydney, my parents wont be very happy, its an asian thing unforuntaely.

On other news, Im hopefully landing a job during the holdiays. I did good work while at work placement so my supervisor is giving me a possiblity of working part time which I think its pretty cool. Working for Dload www.dload.com.au . Its interesting as well because on the way to Dload, i always pass Billy Blue, (no its not named after Billy Bussey lol), its a school of graphics arts in North Sydney. The school has some regconition such as Andrew Johnstone from DIK.
