Back again.
Everyone got me on the right track with my previous problem, but once again I am stuck.
I have learned some basics of PHP, and have been extensively reading about MySQL.
I would like to have nice and dynamic sections to my web page and know that these are the way to go.
I work exclusively on apple computers and access everything via FTP with Fetch.
I do not know how to get started.
My uncle who gave me the domain/hosting says to me, “The hosting does support MySQL and I added (through Plesk, the admin module) a MySQL database named “ianbase” with a user name “______” and a password “______”.”
I do not know how to access it, what to use to find it, or how to begin working on it.

Would it be easier to instal my own from scratch and how do I determine what method to take to do so?
