I would like to change the background color of a movie by ActionScript. I would rather not put a “fake” background in as a symbol and change it’s color. Is it possible to programatically change the background color of a movie?
Right click on your stage and choose document properties. Choose a new background color from there.

Yes, I believe I understand that approach, but I want to change the movie background color “programatically” (using ActionScript). Any ideas on that task?
i am afraid there is no command to change the background color of flash using actionscript.
Only two ways the one stated in the previous reply and the one you don’t want to use a fake background instance.
