I used this tutorial to get the user to select which background colour they wanted: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/actionscript/color.htm This tutorial really helped, instead of using small shapes I set one big rectable as the background, converted that to a movieclip and it changes when the buttons are rolled over.
The problem I have now is I can’t get the background colour to reain the background colour when it goes onto the next frame.
I am making a learning application, so the user on the first screen will choose the bgcolour using the buttons, then select an activity on the same screen. So when they go onto the screen and move onto different frames I want the background colour they selected initially to remain.
I tried adding new bakground movie clips and getting the buttons to ‘communicate’ with it, but it doesn’t work…
please help…??
