Backround image/gradient on input fields

If you visit this link, http://www.inko.ca/dan/ you can see on the contact page that his input fields have a gradient or an image in them. Does anyone know how this can be accomplished? Maybe an example please? :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you kindly,

Domo

he does ? i can’t really see it but you can just put a layer behind the input box?!?!?

Yes, draw a gradient fill and put your input text a layer above it.

yeah, right on the top of each input box is a darker gradient than the rest…

will putting a layer behind it answer my question? Let me try it out and see :P.

Thanks

i can’t see it what you’re talking about?! can you show me more clearly!?

go to http://www.inko.ca/dan

Then go to the contact section

As you can see, the input fields such as name, email, and message have a grey backround, with a darker color towards the top. I was wondering how I could make those, and am trying to do so now

Ok i figured it out… ill post an fla to show you in a minute

Thanks again

Oh and claudio, ive got a question for you. Ive posted about it in the server side forum

well to me it just looks like an image repeated under each input box…

Sorry man, i dunno PHP :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok thanks anyways claudio…

Heres the fla if anyone wants to see… Its got a gradient behind the input field…

No problem

When I saw this thread, I was like ā€œI have gradients?!?! Since when?!!?ā€ and I had to go to my own site just to see it.

The gradient background are made up of two layers, one with a solid grey and the other width a dark to light grey gradient. I did this so that the gradients would be the same size for all three fields.
