Backup preferences/settings in Dreamweaver?

Is it possible to save my preferences/settings in Dreamweaver? I’m backing up my computer in preparation for my new one.

I know that Fireworks, Illustrator, and Photoshop all have a prefs file, but I’m not sure about Dreamweaver. Please help.

hey, um if your running win2k or win xp i can help you!!:slight_smile:

the folder you need to copy is…

C:\Documents and Settings[COLOR=red]Username[/COLOR]\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration

Username = the username you use to log on.

To be able to view the application data folder you need to enable viewing of hidden files and folders.

You can do this once in windows explorer by…

Tools > Folder Options > View > Show hidden files and folders.
