Basic problems

Hi all!

I have just a few basic problems, which i am sure the kirupa kings can solve :ub:

I am making tetxual links in my movie. I have always done this:

  1. Ctrl+F8 [create new symbol] —> New Button
  2. In the first window, i insert a keyframe and add the text i want for the link
  3. NOW…I add a BOX around the text [with white colour for line and fill so it doesn’t cover the text] so that the box and the text are the link [as opposed to JUST the text!]

I have now changed my movie and made the text mouse-over effect a movie.

So in frame one of the button, i have the text, and in frame two a movie i loaded from my library.

However, now, when i preview my movie, only the TEXT is the link not the box which i want it to be!!!

What is alucard doing wrong :q:

I have tried making the box in front of, and behind the text, but how to i merge the text and the box so that they are one?

No worries friends, what i have done is use another button instead of just plain text, so thanks anyways :slight_smile:
