The only thing I can think of after seeing this…we’re dealing with very talented special effect designers here!
The effects in the trailer were most likely done with video editing softwares like Adobe premiere… I can also think of 3dstudio max 5 here but my experience is so limited with this I can’t even start to imagine how to do this!
I hope more experienced users put their 2 cents in so we can maybe have a little insight as to how to get such amazong effects.
come guys and reply here !! we need advice !
Well i have a mhhh… slightly idea of how it could be realised…
if u look here
http://www.oliver-schulte.de/test4/
you can see that the original image has been divided into some squares and then
moved. The only problem ist perfomance.
The bauer animation moves soooo quickly that i don´t know how to realize that…
any hint?!?
On the link you sent me, they use masks that are animated…very different that the bauer website…
The image exploding is rather simple to do…I never tried it because I can see how time consuming it would be. First you have to understand that to achieve such “illusions”, the movie has to run at a very high framerate…something like 30fps and up.
as for the image exploding into little squares, I am positive they have used something like swift3d. You can see a simillar effect in the transitions on www.billybussey.com
It’s basically a 3d square that you animate to fly and rotate…then you copy it all over the place to give a particule effect.
I’ll try to do something like that pretty soon…just for the chalenge of it !
Catch you later!
thx…
i would really like to see what u will do…
great… thx for the infos…
So i have to spend a little bit time on swift 3d I guess
ok… i will do my best too
you guys look at it wrong,
just let the movie play, and ZOOM into the movie, you c that the pictures get that fuzz effect what you get from imported pictures…
so it is totaly no flash made stuff… they only use flash to show it on the web…
so no use for swift stuff, its all about other programs like adobe primiere and other VIDEO editing stuff…
edit: btw, LOW quality helps allot with playback speed
just my 2 cents
ok… thx for that…
so i really have to have a look at adobe´s premiere…
maybe thats why the file is soooo big ?!?
ok man… thx for answering…
maybe a tutorial on this would be very nice and help to understand what´s the bauer´s secret…
