Oops :smirk:

I purchased a “retail storage unit” without a top for $110, then went to the kitchen area, purchased a 2 1/2" thick wooden table top for $35. Rubbed down the table top with Butcher Block oil (from my local Hardware store), and now I have a wonderful counter/cutting board/place to make pastries, etc. with lots of space to store my pots and pans underneath. All for about $150.

Of course, it weighs a ton, since it is made of 1/2" particle board, and steel, but it looks like it belongs in my kitchen, and gives me major counter space where I had in negative quantity before.

That said, it took a day to go get it, wait in line to pay for it, wait in line to rec’d from loading dock, cart the heavy beast up 6 floors, etc.

I have not needed anything quite badly enough to go back yet.
