I did some simple graphic work in Fireworks, then imported the png to a flash file library. I then opened up the resulting “Symbol” in my Flash library, selected all, and distributed to layers. My library contains about 34 bitmaps imported from the png. When I sweep through the frames of this movieclip symbol, the bitmaps all look as crisp as they did in Fireworks… beautiful. However, when I drag an instance of this mc onto the stage of the main timeline and test the movie, the graphics all look kind of “aliased”… all of the edges, esp. the extremities, have that aliased, “double-vision” type look.
I’ve tried playing with my publish settings and with the properties of each bitmap, but to no avail. I notice that, when I look at the properties of one of these bitmaps in the library, if I try JPEG 100% quality, GIF, etc., and hit “Test”, it NEVER looks as good as it does when I sweep the frames of the mc.
Am I missing something basic here? Dunno if this has been answered elsewhere. If so, sorry. Thanks.
