so this has me rather miffed…
i’ve got a simple site setup to scroll between content pages. the content is really just one big long mc that actionscript slides back and forth within a masked window. i’ve applied the motion blur filter within the content mc, triggered for a duration of 12 frames by the same button that slides the mc.
when i test the content mc in the workspace, i see the blur functioning properly, however when i go to “test movie” it’s missing.
the filter is applied to a symbol with is a png. i thought this might have something to do with it, so i made a new layer in the content mc with just a simple circle symbol i drew in flash… applied the same blur filter, same key frames… that works fine. the circle blurs and slides as it should.
is there some limitation of nested filters and pngs in flash8?
help.
