Building a .flv player?

Does anyone know of any good tutorials or sites on building a .flv player? I want to build a player with play, pause, stop buttons, and a progress bar. I have searched the forums for a bit and all that I can find are sites with a few very basic players that you can download the source files for. Are there any really good tutorials out there? Thank you for your help in advance…
