i just got a new modem sent to me in the e mail from broadband and i was wondering why? is there any changes to it to make it faster or anything. i havent noticed any thing except some flashing lights and a stand by button.

When they updated my modem they had a technician come out and give it to me, installed it for free, although I could have easily done it myself… but hey, if he is going to do it for free… why not 
I didn’t have a choice anyway, because he had to update my computer settings and he had to be the one to do it so he wouldn’t be called back out in case I messed up (which I wouldn’t have, but I know what he means, I wouldn’t want to go to a house, let them do it themselves, leave, just to go back and fix a problem if they messed it up).
So anyways, through the mail??? That is… strange.
They don’t just send those things out in the mail dude. Are you sure someone didn’t order it???
yup im sure. we got it a couple of days ago. its a motorola modem. they a e mail to my dad telling him they they where going to be sending one. we didnt even have to pay.
Hmm, odd. At least they notified you though, so that makes it less fishy.
Maybe someone just came out to my house because my IP, Computer Name, and Internet Settings all had to be changed to get the new Modem to work.
