Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a newbie at flash, I’ve been working with it for about a year now, but I just don’t understand the tutorial.
And how can i post the fla if i don’t have it, that’s what I’m asking for.
Alex was saying that you should post your .fla of your attempt at it. You would of had to of tried it to see that you couldn’t get it to work right? Well Alex was saying if you posted your try at it he will take a look at the .fla file of yours and see what you did wrong.

Ok, I went into your clip until I got to edit your textbox.
It seems you have the INSTANCE name set to “letter2”, but really what the script requires is that the textbox has the VAR name set to “letter2” not the INSTANCE name.
The var name area is in the properties panel (same panel as the instance name area) next to the button that says “Character…”
EDIT: Nevermind, i got it.
