Can’t see all the images on stage!

I’m working with some .jpg image files that are grouped together. The total size of the grouped image is 1800 width x 220 height. The thing is…I can’t see the totality of the images on the scene area.

My .fla movie dimensions are 300 w x380 h, and the images scroll inside this area!

Anyone able to help me out!!

I’m not too clear on how you set it up, could you post your FLA?

if you don’t want to scroll it but just want to see whole of it… adjust your movie size as your image size thus,
image size = 1800x220
movie size = 1800x220

or just press ctrl+j and press the “content” button… and that’s it! flash will do it for you! lol

Check out this thread on Flash limites…

Flash has a limit on viewable/drawable area depending on your movie size.

sorry! i´m back!!big wekend!
Thanks to all of you guys!
i´ve tried to do all the things you´ve said but the problem continues!
i´ll trie to post the fla file to see if anyone can help!
Lostinbeta! i haven´t trid to go to the link you ´ve post but i intendo to!

here´s the file! one more thing!í have put 6 images on the movie but only 5 apear :expressionless: ! can´t figger out i thats apening!!

tanks for any possible help!

I just checked your .fla file… your problem does have to do with the Flash limit of Viewable/Drawable area.

Just to save your having to look through that link…

drawing extents within:
-width: -720 to document width + 720
-height: -720 to document height + 720

hmmm… try converting the grouped pictures inside your slider MC into SYMBOL …yes symbol.

cheeers =)!

And how will that fix the problem? Considering the problem is with the Flash Limits on document size and not on symbols :-\

what i would do if i were him, and i did once it worked, i just save the image as an MC and reduce it by 50 - 75 % keeping in mind how things would work for real size…

Hey noxius thanks for the tip! It really works. After turning the images into a movie clip the problem of the missing image has disappeared.

Lostinbeta!! can you tell me wow can I change the viewable/ drawable area properties, the problem of not seeing all the work in the scene is still giving me a headache

Thanks again for the help guys!!

““And how will that fix the problem? Considering the problem is with the Flash Limits on document size and not on symbols””

You have a point there lostinbeta! That problem remains!

ricjg: You can’t edit the properties of the viewable/drawable area, thats why its called a Flash Limit… because its only limited to what I stated before (which was previously stated by senocular).

So you will pretty much just have to cope with the situation :-\ :frowning:

i dont really dont know, lostinbeta. but it works! right ricjg? …ive just learned about this viewable/drawable area thing… thanks…

now, im a bit curious… why is that so? even the problem on viewable/drawable area remains, but converting that pix as symbols seems to “resolve” the problem(?)… i guess there’s an explanation on this…

Noxius…have you seem your message box?

hi! sorry i havent been to my CP for a while… i’ll take a look now…

here’s the fla…

…i know there is a much better “technique/scripting” out there… more efficient one… so dont close your doors…k?

…if you find one, let me know.

continue the great exploit!
cheers! :thumb:

leftover: about the site you gave, they’re are using rectangular masks instead of circular… so i think that will be easier…

Thanks a lot for your fla file noxious! That’s a very cool effect and similar to that one I’m looking for, maybe if I do what u told about the mask an perhaps changing some parameters in the AS it will fit on what I’m trying to create!
And the search will continue…I’m getting closer ;), will let you know if there are some news!!

Thanks again!

By the way! I found this website with similar efect! It looks great also! Do you have any info on how they did this!

i’ll try to figure that out when i have enough time… that was good but kinda weeeeeeh!

OK thanks!! the info on this effect is being very hard to find!! but thanks for being interested!
