Can you get google maps into flash without a browser

Hi,

Is it possible to get google maps into flash without using a browser, so in the stand alone player.

Here is an example http://nycsubway.eyebeamresearch.org/ but I think it uses code that in the browser as well, so this wouldn’t run in a stand alone player?

it appears you need their API, why not apply for it?

http://www.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html

BUT chances are its loading a lot off their server to get the street info…

I have the API, not sure if you can get it into flash tho
