Can't see preloader on html page

problem:when i put my flash movie into a html page using dreamweaver ,when I view the page on the internet , the place where the movie is located on the page stays white untill the movie i sfully loaded .So basically the preloader is worthless unless there is a way to place a flash player into the html page…please help me
