Cd-key help

I got a new computer today and I’m having to reinstall stuff, but I lost one of my cd keys. Does anybody know a way of retrieving a cd key off your computer?

Sometimes when you start up a program it has the key on the splash screen. I think Photoshop does that.

All Adobe products do, flash doesnt, i think 5 MIGHT but i am not sure…

Thanks for clearing that up Mdipi. Wasn’t sure about adobe products altogether, but I was pretty sure about Photoshop

Not sure about Flash 5, but in MX you can go to Help/About Flash and your CD Key is in there.

Its Warcraft, not a Flash or anything, and I can’t see a cd-key on startup :(.

Did you try in the Help/About thing like it works in Flash.

Every Program has a Help/About section

Good Luck

Warcraft is a game, there is no help button or menu or anything. I was just wondering if I went into find if there was a certain thing to type to find it or if it would be hidden in some folder or something. Its not like Flash/Photoshop where there is a menu and you can go help/about. Thanks for your help though, guess I’ll just have to contact blizzard or something.

If you need to find a key, you can find a key generator on the web. It may be illegal, but you bought the game.

generators don’t work for on-line games since only 1 key can be used at a time.

Is the cd-key on the CD?

<— stupid but does not smoke crack twice a day. I have a fixation with ripping stickers off of stuff. If I see a sticker on something, i’m going to rip it off, and well they just HAD to make the cd-key on a sticker.

yeah i know what you mean, i have been tempeted myself…man that sucks! deff call Blizzard dude…

Dont be stupid.

It’s not illegal. You can also find your keys in the registry.

Have another for good measure…or two…

-These should work just fine on Battle.net.

I don’t mean to burst your bubble Morse :-, but releasing CD Keys on a public site is Illegal, and using a CD Key on software that didn’t come with your CD is also Illegal :frowning:

So I had to remove them from your post. I would think Nali could call the company and get a new one if he supplies some sort of code off of the box or the cd.

Thanks for all the help guys, I found a cd key grabber thing on another site. You just login, press the button and it tells you what your cd-key was. Hopefully it isn’t a virus or something but hey, as long as I can play Warcraft I can have the rest of my machine crash 30 times and not care :).

As for morse, I doubt you’ll care since you have 30 more cd-keys, but I reported them all to Blizzard so they will probably be banned within the next week. Sorry, but I have a great deal of respect for Blizzard and the products they put out and don’t feel you should be using them for free.

AND… just for reference morse… a member will usually get warnings before any action is taken, especially in cases such as yours where we know that you’re actually into learning Flash. Consider this a warning. The rules of Kirupa specificaly prohibit the distribution of ANY type of hacking related software or sites. Punishment is banning. I doubt it will matter much because I have faith that you will follow the rules… so don’t get nervous about being warned…just keep it in mind ok?

Peace

you reported them to Blizzard…lmao…that will do a lot of good buddy!! :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:  …i cant stop laughing…sorry…:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah morse. We don’t tolerate distributing illegal software/links to illegal sites, etc. Next time, we will ban you. Nali, call Blizzard…the best thing to do. It is pretty funny for you to remove the sticker even though it says CD-KEY on the War3 CD case =)

Cheers!
