Change content of xml from SWF?

Is it possible to control the exact content of a xml file from a SWF e.g. a particular line e.g.

<part1>

&lt;areaText text="My Text" textcolor="0xAA0000" textfont="courier"&gt;&lt;/areaText&gt;

</part1>
