Can the registration point of an MC be detected programatically? Can it be changed? i am assuing that changing it is simply a matter of shifting the contents over, but without knowing before hand which way to shift, and what is in the MC that could turn out to be a problem.

better question: Why don’t you know the registration point of the movie before hand?
I don’t know the registration point, because it’s an open ended import. users may import anything, which lends the possibility that they could have made the registration point in the center of the MC.
what do you mean by open ended import? if you load something with LoadMovie, the registration point is always in the top left corner.
Ok, i can’t really explain it all in detail, so suffice it to say that the most importent question to me is if it can be done, not why i am doing it.
sorry to be curt, but i have a need to know, and so far i am finding myself explaining… do you happen to know how to check the registration point?
