hey, i HOW to do this but i think it is possible in ps 7. i’m trying to chg the skin color of people in picture so a white person would look black and a black person brown or lighter etc etc…how do i do this? does it have something to do with hue/saturation? i tried using that but it wasn’t believable skin color on a real human…looked like paint can someone help??
lets say you want her to look lighter, i can make them purple and red just fine but real skin is hard to do
yea i tried that, but how do i get a realistic color variation in the skin? i played with stuff in adjustments but i can’t get realistic lighter skin…am i being too vauge?
You have to select just the skin, otherwise it will change the shade of the lines round the eyes, nose, etc and thus look unrealistic. Feather the selection so the edges are soft. Then play around with various combinations of Brightness/Contrast, Hue/Saturation and Color Balance.
Here’s my attempt. I selected just the face, brightened it up, reduced the saturation of the blues and increased the saturation of the reds and yellows, then did a final color balance, and darkened it again just a few notches. I did the same thing on the neck.
I brightened the lips and made them more pink. And finally used the dodge tool around the eyes.
It’s a bit of a sloppy job, didn’t take much time doing it. Last thing: I did this in PS5, but it could be done (probably more easily) with 7.
interesting results, especially rens…but not what i’m looking for unfortunately, i think i may have found a way to do what i’m looking for and will post results according to that method …any other suggestions and or attempts?
pstt…i’ll let you all in on a little secret i really work for the government and i chg peoples identities and simply make them disappear, i’m trying to find out how a “client” will look before actually going through plastic surgery…and my "client wants his …identity not revealed…
lol, i’m going to use that nifty lil tut to combine faces of a light skinned person with a dark skinned person and see what happens…eventually, i want to combine peopls faces with other animals and with the… “creature” located at http://members.lycos.co.uk/makaveli80/Images/ScaryPic1.jpg =) enjoy!!
lol project…i’m doing this for fun…patience i have tho thx i think =) anyone know of a better way to do what i am attempting to do? does this clear up the confusion any?
I have the latest Photoshop at home but so far I can’t convince my new company to get update their Photoshop (plus I was only hired two weeks ago, so I don’t think I have enough influence). After working with Photoshop 7 since it was released, I got so used to it, that now I find working in Photoshop 5 such a pain in the neck!
That’s just the tip of the iceberg! I also can’t convince them to allow me to use Mozilla (even though it’s free) because the Big Brother IT guy says he’s not familiar with it… so here I am using IE!
Hey Ren, since you use Mozilla you might know the answer to this… What is the difference between the newest Mozilla and Netscape 7? I downloaded the newest mozilla to test a javascript I wrote but saw absolutely no difference between the browsers, they even have the same exact interface! I am thinking it is a slight internal difference, but I don’t know because they both run the same engine, and have the same look.
I have tested both, but for some reason, for me, Mozilla loads more quickly than Netscape. In any case, I really didn’t play around with Netscape for very long, so I’m sure I overlooked a lot of things. Here’s why I can’t live without Moz:
Tabbed browsing - I hate having a bunch of windows all over the place!
Bookmarks - it stores my bookmarks in an HTML file which I can upload to my server easily and have accesss no matter what computer I use and I can easily back it up.
Did I mention tabbed browsing?
It actually stops pop ups, sites resizing my windows, full-screening them, moving them or changing them in any way, shape or form. I tried this in IE, but for some reason, some pop-ups just slip right by.
Again, tabbed browsing = heaven!
Customization - this is really a small thing but I really like Orbit.
In case I forgot to mention it - TABBED BROWSING!
I understand that some javascript/DHTML bells and whistles might not work in Moz - this is a great thing for me as I hate javascript/DHTML bells and whistles.
LOL, yeah I like skinning my browser too, that Orbit one was way cool.
Tabbed browsing… yep, that is cool, save taskbar space.
Javascript Bells and Whistles… yeah I don’t like that about Netscape or Mozilla. Sure I don’t usually do the Bells and Whistles part, but I do try and write functional scripts and writing them for both Netscape and IE is kind of a pain.
And I definitely didn’t know about the backing up of bookmarks to an HTML file!!! That rocks!
I have to admit, with Netscape 7 (and of course the new Mozilla, since they are the same), I actually like Netscape now though.
